I really enjoyed this book. It gives you a perspective that you don't often get from climbing books. Too many of them are about disasters and failure. It was nice to read a story of success and what it takes to achieve it.I would say this book could really benefit from an experience editor taking a look at it. There are some misspelled words and characters that are brought up that were never actually introduced. And the section about the avalanche begged for more detail.
Overall I'm glad I bought this book and found it to be very useful in my planning for some upcoming adventures. Thanks for sharing this with us, Yuri.

See It From The Top How to climb Everest without quitting your day job eBook Yury Pritzker Reviews
It was good to hear how a layman prepared for the climb of Everest. I wish that he would have talked more about ways to raise money.
A simple non complicated read about climbing Mt Everest. A bit like the authors approach to the mountain itself, this read is straight forward and a good yarn. I did skim over the last section on the psychology and life approach stuff, which didn't interest me that much.
A refreshing good read on the subject. Well done. Recommended for anyone with an interest in climbing Everest or any larger multi-day climb.
Great book from a normal guy. It's interesting that so many climb Everst with so many problems but others just climb it .
Well done Everest read. paf
See it from The Top is a must-read if you are looking to climb Everest or are interested in the subject.
The book starts with a brief history of the author's (Yury Pritzker) early life and introduction to climbing. He then follows his story of climbing in Russia, the U.S. and around the world. What is most interesting, is that the story mixed an interesting climbing tale, with mountain humor, and hard/practical pieces of advice for future Everest climbers.
Indeed, it is the last section - a practical bible to climbing the world's highest peak - that is in and of itself worth the book's price. Yury meticulously details every aspect of his climb. He outlines everything from his preparation to how to stay healthy to his custom oxygen rationing formulae.
The writing of the book is an interesting first-person, present tense way.
Enjoy!!!!
"See it From the Top..." is a delightful read for both the climber and non-climber alike! Myself, a non-climber, was not quite sure what to expect. As a result, I was pleasantly surprised. The vivid detail enabled me to vicariously make the journey to the Everest summit with Yury; and I must say that I thoroughly enjoyed the adventure! However this book was much more than the story of Yury's trek to the highest peak on the planet. It was homage to the anticipation, the preparation, the support network, the aftermath... so much of the heart and soul that one must invest to contemplate an undertaking of this magnitude.
Yury's effortless writing style transported me from laughter to tears to heart-warming glow when he spoke of the special bond with his wife and family. I cannot think of a time when a non-fiction book kept me so engaged, I was often reluctant to put it down! (Ahh, but for the day job...)
